Bronco
Bronco you could have some exotic meat for dinner, if you would come to Ohio and get some of these wild exotic animals, that are on the loose. Fresh TIger,Bear,Lions, even a camel and a Giraffe. Lots of good meat for someone people. You could of brought that guy that was around your house last week, he could feed his family for a long time with all that meat running around here.

RE: Bronco
Boo, that's bad. I haven't had bear in quite awhile, one bear can feed a family of 4 for quite awhile. I have eaten camel, didn't like it, never saw giraffe on a menu anywhere when we lived in South Africa.

Someone hit a deer? Or did it just freeze to death? I know I did when I got off the plane in Milwaukee yesterday. Cold, wet and windy. Ick.

RE: Bronco
I don't look forward to the cold, I have Reynauld's Syndrome and for some people with joint implants it can be miserable. So I've upped the supplement that I take for it (standardized niacin is the only known product that works) and praying for a warmer than usual winter.
I used to hunt during the winter months but no more, my form of the disease is quite mild, some people have it so bad that they can't even be by an air conditioner. So if anyone wants to donate some deer meat to me I'd love you forever. I have family members that hunt but they never offer us any. Oh well, such is life. Bodybuilder1958 |

RE: Bronco
BB, the cold and damp weather effect me the most, I also cant stay in a pool very long unless the water is atleast 80 degrees..
I my self have not gone hunting since 2007, after my injury I couldnt get the nerve to go out... I have been thinking obout getting a crossbow permit, the deer here is very populated.. It wont be that way for long though, the wolfs populating has really grown.. They are eating dogs right off there leashes, several attacks on kids as well.. Once my freezer is full of veno, I would be happy to ship a few back straps frozen with Ice packs.. You can give venison away here, you just cant sell it...........Legal.. way. |

RE: Bronco
With Reynaulds my hands get cold and the tips literally start turning blue. The capillaries literally start going into a spasm and don't stop for awhile. It can lead to some pretty intense pain, I can't even mix raw meat, sometimes even cutting meat that's pretty cold can set it off. So it's $185. gloves for me, special lining, heat strips and don't move further north. My feet can be the worst, a bad enough bout can make my feet hurt for days and they just won't get warm. I'm never without socks on my feet no matter what. Trying to get nursing staff to understand that while in the hospital can be a pain. I fell asleep with no covering in my hospital room over my left foot after my TKR, the room was pretty cold since I had been hot. The nurse freaked out when she saw my blue tinged cold feet.
Wolves can be a problem with a small game population, here it's coyotes and foxes. The drought has brought wild animals right to our doorstep. Not so much this year since the wetland has dried up. One year we had a raccoon on our back patio for several days in a row. He'd even bang on our french doors like he was wanting in. The foxes keep down the feral cat population, last year we had one sleeping on our driveway waiting for some poor cat. That was the year we lost two cats. But they need to eat, cats make a real racket when a fox has them cornered, wakes up the entire neighborhood. |
