RE: 2 AM
LeglEgl,I so admire you and your wife who has kicked the drug habit and has thru hard work. For the rest of us our bodies are broken many of us have bone on bone injuries with nerve impingment we have tried everything to keep from living our lives totally zoned out.....but now and again we like to compare notes on when the pain is worse or what makes it worse so we can maybe help each other.....I am so happy you are helping injured workers with legal problems we need that here because lawyers cant answer questions fast enough sometimes.....
But Man you make me feel like crap when you make snide comments about the drugs we take-vs-herbs you are fond of many herbs are dangerous when mixed with some RXs and people should talk to their druggest before they mix them.Meletonin being one of them. Again thanks for the help with the legal stuff it is really needed but we dont need the guilt trips on our meds...we are big kids,we know we are taking some really bad stuff....but if I didnt take it I couldnt move without out of this world pain....hit your funny bone pain in your lower back pain every second of my day....and thats just the back....then there is the neck and the daily Migrane.... ;)Workmans comp is not a road you want to travel alone. You need a good lawyer,a great family and good friends to lean on.If you make it thru without losing everything you have worked for all your life, you have come out ahead of the game.....

RE: 2 AM
Well said Jayne.
Most on this forum know I do not like to take medication, just last week I received a lecture from the doctor about not taking my meds. Next week I start physical therapy in hopes of reducing the pain but even with PT there are times I have no choice and have to to take the meds. Problem I am having now is the increase in pain is causing problem with the BP, so do I take the meds to reduce the pain and BP or do I fight the pain and take BP meds? It's medication either way.......... |

RE: 2 AM
Well said Jayne, I have tried alot of herb remidies and even tried Supple and another suplament. N-saids just make me sick to my stomach, the narcs dont really help much either but lightens it enough to keep sanity... Tonight is a bad pain night, feels like when you test a 9-volt batery with your tounge but only its in my low back and straight down my leg into my big toe.. My hip feels like someone is playing chicken wing. I'm heavily dosed and between my 20mg of zolopidem and 900mg of gabapentin I cant get comfortable to fall asleep.. Hopefully this last dose will kick in soon.....

I guess it is my turn for the 2:00 am.
It is 2:10 am and no sleep is in my future. Going to try the massage chair shortly and see if that helps. |
