Why does the employer need my doctor's info ?
Hi everyone,
I have an open WC claim, and a Disability claim as well. The Disability carrier sent my boss notice that I could come back to work. None of my doctors want me to go back yet. My boss keeps asking me for my doctor's information. The insurance companies have all this, so why does she need my doctors info ? Any input and advice is greatly appreciated... |

RE: Why does the employer need my doctor's info ?
why don't you send the comp carrier written permission to release medical information on your claim to the disability carrier and the employer with a copy to the employer and disability insurer. include the name and address of the contact person for each.
you're correct; they need to communicate with each other and leave you out of the middle. your authorization should make that possible. |
