RE: Hows your weather
Had a meeting at my son's school his afternoon. On the way home I counted 6 spots within a 7 mile span along the highway where grass fires had started. It is very dry here.

Hubby noticed a box of stick matches missing from the shop this morning. I questioned Cody on the way home and sure enough he had taken them and had been playing with them. I drove him to the fire department took him inside and asked one of the fireman to educate him about fires. The officer took him in his office shutting the door behind him as I waitted in the hallway. He brought Cody into the hallway and my son had tears running down his face. The officer told me, "I think he understands" The officer gave Cody his card and told to visit with their web site and e-mail him.

When we got home I walked Cody at to the shed and had him get the matches and take them to his Dad. He apologized and promised he would never play with matches again.

Bronco I can take that heat and humidity everyday over this cold wet and snow. We have had at the most 90 days of descent weather, and here we go again heading for the cold wet and snow, for the next 8 or 9 months of crap weather. I can give that up very easy and very fast if i were financially able to.

RE: Hows your weather
A red alert was issue today for fire danger due to the high temps and dry conditions.

Tomorrow will be worse as we will be under an extreme fire danger alert.

RE: Hows your weather
We will be near 80 for a couple of days,,, awsome fall weather. Our leafs are falling, grass is all dried up in the fields here and one spark it would spread quickly..

I think I have the answer how to get the best out of the winters... Keep my home here for the summers, and go south for the winters. We have been invited to stay with a relative just south of daytona.. He has 2 slabs with electric and a sewer holding tank... He is 1/2 mile from the beach, not able to walk that far but can put one of our vehicles behind the rv...

You have room for a couple more. Cold wet here leafs falling and 55 to 60 degrees every day. Raining every day and everything is wet.
