RE: A Tribute To The Victims of 9/11
never never never......I know where I was when Kennady was shot, when the space shuttle exploded, when Princess Di was was Killed and when the first plane hit.....days that you never forget days that are a such a horror you cant ever wipe them from your memory
;)Workmans comp is not a road you want to travel alone. You need a good lawyer,a great family and good friends to lean on.If you make it thru without losing everything you have worked for all your life, you have come out ahead of the game.....

RE: A Tribute To The Victims of 9/11
On 9/11 I was a teacher in a Kindergarten classroom. Our school was under strict orders not to talk about what was going on in New York or other parts of the country while on school grounds.
The students knew something was up that day, as the students were only allowed on the playground for a short time. |

RE: A Tribute To The Victims of 9/11
On 9-11 I was feeling sorry for myself, sick, having kidney problems, alot of pain. But I saw those planes and you know, no more. I decided that day, that moment to stop feeling sorry for myself. This country lost alot that day but we gained me thru our heroes and it's time to make the legacy of 9-11 stick. Not only for the survivors but so that we never, ever forget.

RE: A Tribute To The Victims of 9/11
On 9-11, I was getting ready for work when the news broadcast about the planes hitting the towers. Needless to say, I stayed glued tot he tv and never made it to work. And the next day there was no longer any job, as our headquarters were in one of the towers. Put over 500 people out of work in Vegas.
I will never forget that day Angel ^j^ I've always been crazy, but it keeps me from going insane. ************ Happiness comes through doors you didn't even know you left open |

We're 3 hrs. later on the West Coast. Remember watching the news with complete disbelief, and then going to work and having tv's set up so everyone could watch during the school day. Will never forget the sadness..............

RE: A Tribute To The Victims of 9/11
It was a beautiful morning here in Sarasota, FL. I had an early morning breakfast meeting at the Sarasota Quay, at the corner of US 41 and Fruitville Road. President George W. Bush was in town, and his motorcade was scheduled to pass by our location just after our meeting concluded. Having never seen a sitting Presidents’ motorcade, several of us decided to wait by the road for it.
A presidential motorcade is quite an impressive undertaking. First comes the security people, swerving into oncoming traffic to block its progress, while others yell for those of us by the road to “back up” about 30 feet or so. We oblige. Then comes a long procession of vehicles including police cars, vans, and limos, north on US 41, turning east onto Fruitville Road. Near the end, we see the “beast” – the Presidential Limousine approaching. Through its thick glass windows we see President Bush. We wave. He waves. And then he is gone. I am struck by the final vehicle in the convoy. It is an ambulance, which apparently follows the President wherever he goes. What I thought would be the highlight of my day was over. I looked at my watch. It was 8:45AM. My friends and I chatted for another 20 minutes, and I got into my car to head to the office. My cell phone rang. It was my wife. Two planes had flown into both towers of the World Trade Center. Life had changed. |
