Partial lose of use of arm-Illinois
My mom broke her arm at work because she was tripped by a student. The company has paid for her doctors visits and physical therapy, however after 13 weeks of her doctor will not approve of any more PT, she stated that after this long she has made all of the progress that she is going to make. She is 2 degrees off from being able to completely straighten her arm and she isn't able to take her right hand to her right shoulder (so she can't bend it all of the way). I am trying to figure out what she could be entitled to due to this partial lose of use of her arm. If there is anyone else out there who has been in a similar situation could you please advise us? I think she should be entitled to something but she isn't the type of person that will pursue it without me pushing her!

Thank you!

RE: Partial lose of use of arm-Illinois
have her arm rated by her doctor. the impairment % will help determine addition permanent partial payments.
additional information on wage/income loss will also be used to evaluate the long term effect of the injury.
general information on Illinois comp here
http://www.iwcc.il.gov/handbook.htm
she can also contact the local offices for information
