Neuropsych info-Your thoughts please!

I was referred to a neuropsych for CBT (cognitive behavioral therapy) by my pain management dr. I have had most every psych test you can think of. This is the third neuropsych person they have sent me to. One for the heck of it, one for an IME and this one. Each time they send me to see someone, they ( the ins company) don't like the answers they are given and then the ins company sends me to someone else. The first two said I had major depressive order and a pain disorder. The most recent person I have seen said his plan is to change my feelings and behavior regarding my injuries and this will bring my pain levels from a 7/8 to a 3/4. Has anyone here ever had CBT and did it work? I think it is a lame attempt for them to not have to pay for medical care that has all ready been recommended by the other doctors. If it was as simple as just thinking it away I believe we would all feel ALOT darn better. I think that if just wishing it away worked I wouldn't still feel this crappy three years later. Please let me know your thoughts....I am in NM
