not really. you'd have to have prior permission of the judge and the other parties. there are some privacy issues especially involving personal medical information.

RE: Hey all!!
I would never go into a legal battle without a lawyer.... but that is up to you....

;)Workmans comp is not a road you want to travel alone. You need a good lawyer,a great family and good friends to lean on.If you make it thru without losing everything you have worked for all your life, you have come out ahead of the game.....Smile

each system is different.
workers comp has it's own court system that is, at it roots, informal and open to personal involvement.
it is very much like unemployment appeals or small claims; where administrative options predominate and the judge often advocates for the inexperienced.
you can go further without representation in a comp appeal then in civil or tort cases; that's why many states only pay comp attys a nominal fee and injureds often get poor service from their attys.

RE: Hey all!!
Is this the way Pa works? Should I go straight to Workers Comp. and find out what my rights are? I was taught knowledge is power. I think I am going to have some issues with adjuster. We play phone tag and I am paying for may medication so far.

RE: Hey all!!
Interesting development I need help with.
The rating has been done and we are going through the settlement process. I just had an MRI done on my knee, requested by the workers compensation doctor and discovered I now need knee surgury. This is a result of my accident and my knee was not part of the rating. The insurance company will be getting the report.
What can I do now regarding the rating and settlement procedure?

RE: Hey all!!
If the knee injury was a result of the wc accident, then you need to stop the settlement process now and have the surgery.

Course the insurance company will likely now really push you to settle and try to get you to sign papers saying the knee is not related to the work injury.

Been there only with me it was with the neck injury.

Do not sign the settlement papers, have the knee surgery then work on settlement.
