Very disrespectful people......
People these days are burning my arse...... Very seldom do I use my handicap permit unless I have to when pain levels exceed my limits.. I even take the space next to the handicap spots if they are open.. Maybee it's because I'm only 41 why I get the looks and rude comments.. Today I had to get meds, and had to use the permit. Some young punk got in my face questioning my disability, I simply told him to f--- Off.. Then after a heated argument in the store the manager came up and asked if he needed to call the police... This is where it I just about lost it, the guy was telling the manager I was parked in handicap and there was nothing wrong with me... I raised my index finger up and put it in his face. He asked what is that supposed to mean.. The manager just laughed, I told the guy you are number 1, Number 1 @zz hole.. The manager asked this guy to leave the store, and if he harasses anyone else he will press charges......

Are people getting more ignorant, is it just me...?

RE: Very disrespectful people......
Bronoco there are a lot of a##es out there.

I guess the stigma is if you are young then you are healthy and should not need the disabled parking.

I remember when I was 30 and parking in the disabled parking to unload my daughter and her wheelchair. (Mine was not a wheelchair accessible van)
I had to lift the wheelchair out of the van and then lift her and place her in the wheelchair. I would drive up to the disabled parking and park and before I could open the door to lift the wheelchair out of the van, people would walk up to me and get in my face for parking where I parked.

All I had to do was open the van door and they could see the wheelchair.

RE: Very disrespectful people......
I would have told him to kiss my home grown white azze! If he kept on, I would call the police for harassment.

Screw him, the horse he rode in on and the post he tied it to! I have a severe issue with individuals who challenge my disability based on age(53) and physical appearance.

I have lost 90 lbs in the last year. Amazingly I am told if I can lose weight I am not disabled.

I slow danced with my wife at my class reunion A month ago and the toothsayers started barking. You are not disabled.... Does the Gov. know you can dance? These individuals look like the Pillsbury dough boy, they smoke and are obese...

Them turd heads have no idea about my pain load or med intake. I would make a really good Dr. Phil show. LOL

RE: Very disrespectful people......
Bronco I feel you buddy, I am only 54 but told look like a lot younger, but when i use my handicap plackardI do a lot of times get nasty and dirty looks by a lot of people, and I just want to get in there face and knock the crap right out of them. And the ones I hate the worse of giving me that dirty look are these hughe people who are rideing around on the electrict wheel chairs, but do not know for sure if they are actually disabled physically or there disability is only being obece, but i get the looks from those people and a awful lot of people who have no signs of any kind of disability. I really hate the ones who look at you when u pull in and u do not have your plackard hanging at that time, stand there and point at the disability parking sign, like they are saying are u blind or something. I want to run over those arse holes.

RE: Very disrespectful people......
So often what makes us disabled isn't noticeable. I hate to pull out the plaque. But tomorrow I will if I have to. These rude people need to try and walk a few steps in our shoes.

Downtown Wichita, ks has a new arena, Intrust. That area has only 24 up close handicapped parking spots. They do have others but they're sometimes blocks away. It makes me sick to drive past young teens getting premium handicapped spots, get out giggling, makes me wonder if they didn't borrow the plaque sticker from grandma or grandpa.
Now we have to compete with Best Buy and even our SS office for 'reserved for fuel effecient cars'. What really peeves me off at the SS office is those reserved spots for fuel effecient cars are actually closer to the door than the handicapped spots.

I hope to tear up my handicapped sticker in a couple of months, hope, pray, wish.
