RE: are you scared?
I would like to know that also ammowoman....only one store near us doubles coupons and its way to hi to shop in....because my husband is retired military we can shop on base but its 200 miles away the gas price makes that unaffordable.....we just can and freeze all the stuff out of the garden we can....

;)Workmans comp is not a road you want to travel alone. You need a good lawyer,a great family and good friends to lean on.If you make it thru without losing everything you have worked for all your life, you have come out ahead of the game.....Smile

RE: are you scared?
I wish I had space for a garden. My yard is small and then with the dogs...back yard is theirs. I will get tomato plants this year. We are doing fine right now but I don't want to take any chances. He only worked at his job for about 3 weeks before he was hurt so the unemployment is about $150 a week. Huge cut. We have tags due on a couple cars in September so I need to plan. Getting a water park pass for the family that's close and not expensive for the kids and myself to at least have a little fun. He will have one too, I just don't see him using it. Water slides don't really agree with him anymore.

As long as I feel in control or have a plan I feel fine. I just don't like or need anymore financial surprises.

RE: are you scared?
you can raise a garden in 5 gallon buckets.....gather them from bakeries in your area they give them away or sell them cheap.....drill a few holes in the bottom put some rocks in the bottom and fill with dirt.....tomatos,green peppers, squash, hot peppers all do well in these....
