Our snow is finaly gone.
With the warm weather and tornado's that hit 60 miles south, we got the warmest rain. It's gone and beautiful outside, but unfortunately our night still drop below freezing. Rain and snow for the next few days...yuck, but its comming..

RE: Our snow is finaly gone.
We are finally to the point of needing heat during night and half day, the rest of the day we could use the air. Then back to turning the heat on again at night. Just a cycle.

RE: Our snow is finaly gone.
we had super cell storms last night....it felt like someone was twisting my spine like a wet towel.....the town 6 miles E. of us was hit they are not saying yet if it was a tornado or stright line winds and there was a tornado sited 3 miles S. of us but it didnt touch down.....we lost power for a bit....which I dont like....without the TV,computer, scanner or radio its hard to keep track of the storms at night.....I love the light show at night.....but if its gonna contain tornados I want it to be durning the day so I can watch the sky and see whats coming to get my family to safety.....we were under tornado warnings for over 2 hrs last night......long night....

RE: Our snow is finaly gone.
I agree also, the light shows are awsome. But none the less, if tornado's follow its better to know whats in the sky... Its amazing how the human body reacts to weather, sucks...

RE: Our snow is finaly gone.
Bronoco I would prefer your snow to the weather we are having today.

Perhaps Jayne's weather has moved north to Kansas.

Had to made a pharmacy run this morning, driving home I did everything I could to keep my van on the road.
I have lived in Kansas most of my live but have never driven is winds like this!

RE: Our snow is finaly gone.
had to go to walmart today to get some groceries...went by where the tornado set down last night it was a small one that hit real close..... it was strange to see a travel trailer upside down inside a double wide mobile home....trees twisted off like weeds.....hit about 5 miles from us......baseball size hail about 15 miles from here.....I was worried the hail would take out my garden.......

RE: Our snow is finaly gone.
Well the snow hasnt started yet but the wind here is terrible.. They say its 45 mph but I bet the gusts are more like 60 to 70 in this open field.. I have done given up after 3 times trying to keep the cover on the rv.. We have the plain cloth cover and then we have a huge tarp to go over it.. All the pre made holes ripped through earlier and I remade new ones and rolled it up for strength. Well now it is tore to shreds, my back wont allow me to try again so screw it.. Need to build a permanent pole barn, haa, when I get rich.lol
