REVISED is CRPS part of total loss of use?
I posted a few minutes ago and realized I wrote the wrong ??? in the thread subject. I meant to ask if CRPS is taken into consideration when getting a rating for loss of use in NY? If CRPS is "chronic", there is no cure, I have been treating with a PM Dr. without success:
1. Is it my choice to stop (injections in front of neck are very scary & not working)? 2. Is it part of the final PPD determination? I am not @ MMI yet, however, as soon as I stop PM treating, I'm sure I will be. My surgeon has nothing left to offer surgically. (Bilateral Carpal tunnel surgery, basal joint(s) replaced, IP fusion(s), left DeQuarvain's release, MCP fusion & hardware removal, right trigger thumb and now CRPS right hand, wrist, arm.) thanks!! RE: REVISED is CRPS part of total loss of use?
a Diagnosis like CRPS is not used in ratings.
it's all based on impaired parts of the body. each impaired area is given a rating regardless of diagnosis. more information: http://www.wcb.state.ny.us/content/main/...dguide.pdf yes, treatment decisions remain with the patient. |
