WC BS Games Again
WC BS Games have again started. My POR wrote me a script for some meds to help me rest and sleep at night. The meds are also used for chronic pain. WC does not want to approve the script and pay for it. Generic at that and inexpenseve. My attorney has had to file for a hearing on this, we have a hearing in like 2 weeks. The other day i get a letter from them saying they have a dr (a paid goon) that states that i do not need this med. Now I have never heard of this pd goon dr nor have i ever seen him, but he knows what is best for me. Now does that make since, my claim is 10 yrs old this year. and theystill want to fight over a 25.00 monthly script. So who is going to win, my por says i need the meds and they waste money for someone to say i don't need it. I love how they waste so many peoples time for 25.00 script.

RE: WC BS Games Again
I know how that is. Sometimes I just give up and pay for it myself. It's all b.s. Sorry you have to deal with crap. WC is the reason I don't sleep at night. All their b.s.

RE: WC BS Games Again
My wc attorney shared this with me one day, "The insurance company will keep sending you to a doctor until they find one who says what they want him to say" Makes sense, the surgeon who did the TRK was the 13th doctor who saw me on the knee before the replacement, and the insurance company still lost in court.

I wish you the best CF.

RE: WC BS Games Again
WC would pay $1000 or even more to not have to spend $25 to help you out

RE: WC BS Games Again
maybe they see it as part of lifetime treatment.
let them know it's only a one time request so they know it's limited to a $25 issue.

RE: WC BS Games Again
but many times its not 1171 thats the problem.....some of us are in so much constant pain it takes something to put us out at night to give our mind and body a little rest

;)Workmans comp is not a road you want to travel alone. You need a good lawyer,a great family and good friends to lean on.If you make it thru without losing everything you have worked for all your life, you have come out ahead of the game.....Smile

RE: WC BS Games Again
The crazy motives is just bs.. They tried that with me with my ambien, said I didnt need it.. It first started by the ncm suggesting to my dr that I dont need it...When I first came out of hospital that med was a godsend, even though I was highly medicated the pain was to unbarable to sleep... Later they put me on gabapentin 900 mg before bed, slowly I got off the ambien.. The gabapentin helped my leg pain by 50%...

RE: WC BS Games Again
Chances are, the IC has a dr. on staff. Or a NP on staff. I know mine does. I guess I was lucky, I recall times that things were denied and I would call the IC adjuster and after that call I would call the NP that was a staff member. Usually those two calls took care of things. With all that said. I also Had to request an IRO for a procedure.
