Anyone else feel this way?
I had a few errands to run today. On the way home I was thinking about some old friends I used to worked with. As I drove by the building where I used to work, my heart sank. It hit me like a ton of bricks. I am so broken and I will never be the same. I feel like I have nothing to offer. I had to pull off to the side of the road because I broke down in tears and I just couldn't stop. I felt so useless. Has anyone else gone through this? If so, what did you do to get yourself out of it? I all ready take meds for depression...

RE: Anyone else feel this way?
Everyday. It's a struggle everyday with depression, feeling useless, knowing that this is the way it is going to be the rest of my life. I have worked since i was 15 yrs old. This is the first year that any interaction with adults has been pretty much at a lull. My poor husband calls me everyday to make sure I am ok. I am ok, I just miss working and interacting with people. Dealing with daily pain doesn't help either. I just have to remember that there are many others that have work related injuries worse than mine. Today was especially bad for me and i sat on the couch all day in tears. I keep telling myself, it will get better...but i wonder, will it. Thank God for this site. What I do when I feel up to it, is get outside. Fortunately, after tomorrow, the weather is getting nicer and I guess we just have to be thankful that we are still alive and can get around as hard as it is some days. If you need someone to chat with and maybe share some laughs, just add me to your buddy list. Chin up and smile!!

RE: Anyone else feel this way?
BooBoosNeck, unfortunatly thats another one of life lessons... I know I would just love to be there, if not to work, just socializing with the old crew...My wife works at the same place where I did. She fills me in on the gossip but its not the same as being there.. Its hard to keep your mind off such circumstances, but I try to keep my mind occupied so I dont dwell... But do break down and relize my life has changed and what can I do now.......Take care, and hope you get better.

RE: Anyone else feel this way?
I know exactly how you feel BooBoo. It's especially hard when you live in a small town and can't get away. Always being reminded every which way you turn.

I've tried and tried to put this all behind me and just when I think I'm doing "well" the cloud of depression comes back.

Lately it's been awful with the woes of my old employer hitting the newspaper every week. I get all stressed out and say to myself, "what the he** do you think I was telling you people; now you're paying for not listening to me and believing that b-witch. Such a long story...........

Life goes on. Some days are good, and I'm thankful for those.

Let Go, and Let God......

RE: Anyone else feel this way?
Yes I get upset all the time, I get mad at people walking down the street, riding bikes, ect knowing I can't do those things it angers me, but now I have learned to say well I was dealt this hand and the good lord wouldn't have dealt it if he did not think I could handle it. So I keep myself busy with facebook and Pogo and try to think that there are so many other people so worse off then I am and I am really lucky compared to some. But yes there are days where all I want to do is cry or scream. Stay strong, and find things that you can do now to make you happy!

Live for Today, Love for Today, Laugh for Today.
