Frauds should be prosecuted. They are the reason that we get looked upon like we do. If both sides could be honest, there would be no need for lawyers! I hate getting treated like a dirtbag, it's the fakers that are dirtbags. They cause more problems then they realize .

You are right, if everybody could just be trusted to tell the truth I would hope they would start treating us right. I think in my state the lawyers make more then anybody. And remember our law makers are normally lawyers so they are just keeping the rules as they are to keep the incomes up in case they get out of office

Wow, and I get blasted if I manage to get thru 2 hours of shopping.
What they don't realize is that if I wasn't in so much pain, stopping, stretching, that the 2 hours would be more like 45 minutes.

Yep. The frauds are the problem. I am so tired of " proving" I'm injured. How about the 6 screws, two bars, two cages and wires and battery pack implanted inside me? That's not enough for them though.

These " phonies" ruin it for everyone who is seriously hurt. Every time I get tested like crap, I try not to put all the blame on the person doing it, because they have usually seen so many fakers, that they believe everyone is a faker. It sucks, and I hope everyone who is caught faking, gets prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law.

I agree and dis-agree. Who'm who is injured, knows the pain is real.. So who decides our fate?, some pain can be obviosly seen for reasons of proof.. But then some pain that is thier, but they seem to not find the source.. They of course could not accept every claim without some kind of evidence, but shouldnt treat us like criminals... It is just a broken sysytem and designed to protect the employer, and not for us injured workers.......

Bronco, my point exactly. Pain can not be seen. If people were honest, we wouldn't have to have proof. Chronic pain can not been seen or shown up on a blood test, so they have to rely on our honesty and actions. If people were honest, then there wouldn't be questions. But people tend to lie and make up stuff, so the rest of us have to suffer. Why anyone would "choose" this is beyond me. My life s a mess since I got injured. The system is crazy and definitely not made to protect the injured worker.

I had an IME once where a doctor literally wrote on the report that there was no way that my knee injury could cause that much pain. When he told me to calm down on the table during the exam that it couldn't hurt that much I told him that not all people respond the same way. That as a medical doctor he should know that.

Each single case of work comp fraud hurts dozens of true work comp individuals. We all get that 'they're faking it' look. Just once I'd like to see a compassionate respondent. For me it's never been about money, sure that helps but all I want is medical care and to get on with my life.
That's all I want, I would gladly give up everything I own just to get out of this work comp crap.

I totally agree with getting on with life. I feel like I can't take my dogs outside or to try to go for a walk without thinking I am being watched. I have to get outside and get some exercise or I will go batty. I have good days and bad days and in between days. I recently had an IME. After it was completed, I honestly thought this doctor was not going to side with me. I received a copy of the report and he sided with me. YAY for this doctor to recognize my injury and verify it. Unfortunately, he also had some information in his report that was totally wrong, specifically dates. I provided him with all my MRI's, Mylegram, FCE report, PT reports, etc. I am limited to sedentary work with restrictions to lifting, sitting, bending, standing and walking. Well hello, pretty much I cannot function in a normal setting job not to mention there is no employer that will bring you back to work with those kinds of restrictions. Anyhow, I will be awfully glad when I can get on with my life (with restrictions) without the cloud of 'WC' constantly over my head.
