Collection agent contacted me... Advice me
I'm in CA
I injured my back in June 2008. i surged two times and went ER last year for the pain on saturday. i send the bills to my attoney and heard that work comp insurance will paid the bill. However, i received a letter today from collection agency. The letter indicated that the unpaid history was reported to credit history. How i have to do? What i have to do? |

send a letter with the bills to the hospital administrator that the treatment was for workers compensation.
send a copy to your atty and the carrier. |

That has happened to me as well, my lawyer took care of it in a quick hurry.. There is laws that protect injured workers, a letter from your attorney should fix the problem...
