WORKERS COMPENSATION IN JAPAN
#1
Japanese Workers comp system will be very hard hit as the Quake and Tsunami happened at 2:30 in the afternoon.
Hopefully they'll do as well or better then NY after 9-11.
comp is designed more for everyday use and not very good in catastrophes. although there are linking catastrophe funds within each state to spread the impact, i doubt any one state could handle an event such as Japan suffered.

In Japan they have specially designated hospitals, clinics, and doctors that just handle work injuries.
the regular medical treatment facilities are not familiar with the comp rules.
In Japan it is a national system and not broken down with different geographic rules.
i think the US could benefit from a single federal system and keep comp from becoming a political football.
hopefully our Health care reforms will plant the seed for such a national system.

TongueI didn't post it for them. they're a bit busy now.
we already know your political leanings jayne; but thanks for reminding us how much you like oligarchs running things.
I'm sure you dream of princesses and kings and the like in fairy tale castles but that's not for most of us.

it not what they need; it's what you need...

I would greatly like to see the US have just one WC system. Of course my view comes from that of an injured worker.

1171, "oligarchs"????????? You know this old Redneck doesn't know what that means. Can't you use smaller words????? Da--, now I am going to have to look up that word.
8-05, Micro laminectomy/disectomy. 10-05 lumbar fusion L5-S1. 2-07 exploritory surgery. 12-07 medical implant, Spinal Cord Stimulator. now receiving SSDI. After going back to school, I received my degree as a mechanical engineer. What can I say, it was the only way I had to beat the system.

I agree AQA, 1 system for all for every state as well as in a catastrophy like in china or New york.. Equaly ruled and by 1 ins...

And as far as that word 1171 posted, I had to look it up as well.. I have a better meaning of the word and I would like to share... I have a big bowl, and within that bowl I have Obama and some ins adjusters and they are part of the oligarchs that occupy the Bowl. And hopefully when I pull down the lever they will flush properly.

I'm sorry. I read the title and thought this thread was about Japan. Apparently I was mistaken.
