RE: Settlement
Two weeks since my last post and no change.
I called Medicare about the MSA this morning and now they are in the review stage?? so far it has gone from "we are backed up" to " it HAS been looked at" to "it is being reviewed" it is 6 week past the 60 day point they say it be will done, what does this mean, 1 more week or 1 more month or longer? All Medicare answers go back to the " we are backed up and we will get to it in the order it was recieved.
I also called SSDI about their under payment to me ( since Dec. 2010) also no changes, no back pay and no increase in my SSDI check, they say it is on a desk waiting for approval, IT'S BEEN 6 MONTHS
I can ware out a pair of socks in 6 months.
Now getting ahold of my State Rep, called, e-mailed and e-mailed again, no answer or e-mail back. It's been 2 weeks and nothing.
They last thing today is, I found out I could collect my retail clerks retirement early. I sent off the paperwork in late April, it has been recieved and IT IS BEING LOOKED AT (this all sounds the same) I was told it could take 8 to 10 weeks form the time it was recieved to state getting funds, so I asked why over 2 months to get approved?
BECAUSE WE ARE ALL BACKED-UP WITH APPLICATIONS
hire some more people to get they job done, that goes for SS, Medicare and retial clerks.

RE: Settlement
government services and employment is not part of economy stimulus efforts.
reducing services and gov't employment is what many in washington want.
your issues and those of others like you will not get better but likely worse as reducing the budget and the deficit is politically profitable.

RE: Settlement
Some good news, MSA is done and it has been sent back to Lawyers, when they get it is a big guess.
SSDI, I have been told by my rep. that I should receive notice the end of the week ( they did say the same thing last week) her supervisor also said it would be done.
As for my State rep. and Congressman, no help, my Congressman never received the letter (e-mail) from my state rep.
The Retail clerks have received everything BUT my termination papers from my last job, I will not have these until the MSA and settlement are done, so my retirement pay will be on hold for a month or two.

RE: Settlement
SSDI NEWS
After getting a call Friday afternoon from the SSA about my paychange I almost went thru the roof, they said the need a print-out of all my work-comp checks starting in May of 2002 (This is for my new SSDI pay since I no longer receive work-comp ) work-comp. ended in Dec. 2010, so as per their letter I'm to receive a new higher rate. I tell SSA that they only need some of my old work comp. pay stubs and all the new ones ( from my PnS rating) to see I'm not getting the higher work-comp rate. Now the fun starts, they say fax them copies, I do , they call me and say they are all blank? how do they know who sent them if they are all blank? I tell them I will bring them in NOW to their office, they got to me a short time after I arrived, made copies, and came back to the window and said do I have some going back to 2002 so they could get an average of my pay, by this time I'm getting very loud and people are starting to look at whats going on, I tell them you have enough pay-stubs to get everything done, they say is this all giving them, and again I say this is all you need for a pay change so send it in.
Today I check the SSA web-site and WOW a new rate, I'm also getting a check for 6 months of back-pay at $469 a month, I'm looking foward to seeing that extra $$$ each month. My grandmother turns 101 on June 13, I hope the back-pay gets here before that so we can fly from California to Sarasota Florida for her birhtday, without it we can't go.
So much for todays run-on typing, now I need to wait for my Atty. to get back from Vacation to settle my case and alls good in the world.
