Physical therapy called yesterday to let my husband know his testing would only take 2 hrs instead of 4. His employer created a position in the warehouse for him so rather than doing test for the position he had when he was injured they would only need to test for 2 hrs rather than 4. Does this sound right?
I knew his employer at some point couldn't just pay him to sit at a desk doing busy work but I didn't expect what she did just yesterday. She let him know that they "made" this position for him. What his pay would be...with no raises ever. Finally said if couldn't do job or be productive would have to let him go. WHAT?!?! I guess she received a ton of calls yesterday and made it clear that after this test she expected that my husband would be released. We figured they would at least wait till his appt next month with the dr. Guess not. I understand that his breaks are healed and the results of his injuries are what we are left to manage. It just seems they are being quick to get him out of the system. He will still need meds and there is no guarantee he is even able to do this job that has been made for him. |
