Work Conditioning completed.
Missouri

My husband had his monthly dr appt today. He has been in work conditioning therapy this last month. The dr said today he will schedule him for testing that will last all day. He will be doing this test on Friday.

The case manager asked him today if he had a lawyer. He told her no. She said I thought you said you had one. He told her he's never said that. He said he told her would get one when she was trying to control everything and they wanted to not pay him for hrs they should be paying for. She said the law sets the amount anyway.

He did get a lawyer. He is just sitting and waiting until needed. I think he is curious as to what WC's offer will be thinking he is not represented.

The dr said today that there really isn't anymore that can be done. His injuries are severe and he can't do and will never be able to do what he used to do.

Its sounding to me like its coming near the end. Is that possible this early? His accident was 10/15/10. I know his case went fairly smooth compared to most on this site but I can't imagine that this would be the end. He's kept one of his same surgeons this whole time but wouldn't WC send him to one of their drs?

RE: Work Conditioning completed.
All depends, some heal faster than others... Does his employer still want him back...?
What does his surgeon say, has he put him at mmi...? Your husbands injuries were quite severe, usually surgeons dont release that soon, at least a year.. I wasnt at mmi from surgeon until 3 years ( hip and pelvis reconstruction ).. But the wc ins could ship his records to one of thier drs and he could put him at mmi.. Then its all in the lawyers lap...........Good luck, I know he has worked very hard to get back to where he is.....bronco

RE: Work Conditioning completed.
He's been back at work since the end of Dec. Not doing his regular job tho. Just sitting at a desk doing lite work... making calls, shredding papers. Lately has been running errands and making deliveries. There's no way he can do the constuction job he had. WC said they would put him at it for a month at one point but there's no way he can work it. His employer has been great accommodating him. They offered position in warehouse as well when he's able. I just don't foresee him being able to do much more than he is now and when all is settled his resignation being part of it. When your taking up to 12 pain pills a day working a desk job that says your pretty limited.

On his first visit the dr mentioned MMI being 6 months on pelvis and 9 months on ankle. The shoulder was never given one but there's nothing they can do for it.

When he goes to his dr appt next month he will be at 6 months.
