RE: Medicare decision
I took my folks meds to the drugstore and asked them which would be the best supplement for their needs....being from a small town helps sometimes

;)Workmans comp is not a road you want to travel alone. You need a good lawyer,a great family and good friends to lean on.If you make it thru without losing everything you have worked for all your life, you have come out ahead of the game.....Smile

RE: Medicare decision
Acutally Jayne that is a very good idea. When part D first came out a lot of the pharmacy's were providing teaching about the different possibilities and reviewing each person's medications and then pointing them toward teh direction that would most benefit them. I believe that my parents did it this way. And they are so much better off since part D came about. It doesn't help some people much just depends on your situation. Red

Be who you are and say what you feel, because those who mind don’t matter and those who matter don’t mind.

Big Grin RE: Medicare decision
Red, your very correct. For when my Doctor put me on mine, they did cost alot, then the second year for Part (D) came around, and Part (D) changed the meds around some, taking some even off the list. Then I checked my Health Insurance Plan, and they performed the same thing though. My Part (D) would run out in about 6 months. So I got the Doctor to find the Cheaper Geniretics instead of the Brand names, and I started saving again. I do think the medicare site helps one chose also, and by their State. In fact it outlines all that one can get per their State, and the cost factor.
