settlement question

good morning to you all, and thanks for the information you all provide,I had a msc back in november carrier offered 60,000 for me to go away, my atty said no we are going to trial.
I got the date for trial march 30 2011, this is my question.
what are the chances that we settle my case on this day
and who will decide my settlement amount, the judge?thanks for your input

on the issue of permanent disability rating, the result of a work comp trial/hearing will be an award of so many weeks of permanent disability benefits paid bi-weekly and open medical -- depending on the evidence submitted and testimony given.
other issues, obviously will have other results.
if both you and the carrier are willing to compromise, a settlement can still be negotiated.
