Prayer Request

I know.. I am getting on the short end of my prayer requests, and the year had barely begun. But I need a special prayer for a dear friend of mine.

Mari is just a year or so older than me. When we first started talking online (late 96-early 97) she lived here in TX. I was so excited when I moved to TX hoping I would finally get to meet her. Only to find out that she had moved to TN. But we are still the best of friends and talk almost everyday via the computer.

She just sent me a message, asking for help on one of the games that she plays on facebook in the next coming weeks. I was in total shock when she told me that she is going to have a radical, double masectomy by the beginning of March. She is such a loving, caring and giving person that it is hard for me to wrap my mind around the fact that she has cancer. And it has all developed in less than 6 months.

Please lift her up in prayer, asking for her to have the strength to get through the coming weeks, before and after surgery. And that if it is His will, she be free of cancer once the surgery is complete. She lost her sister just a few years ago to breast cancer.

Thanks y'all I truly appreciate this. Although we haven't met face to face, Mari is the one friend that I have had through 2 divorces, spousal abuse, all the health issues I have had and all the changes I have had to make in my life. At times, I feel that she is closer to me than even members of my own family. I'm already in tears with the thought of what she is going to have to go through.. I can't even begin to think of loosing this very special friend in my life.

Angel our prayers will be with her and her doctors. I have a friend like your that I meet online and talked with for years. He is in Salt Lake City but was in Chicago for a few days once so the wife and I drove up there to meet him and have dinner together. Has been the only time we have gotten together.
As for cancer in my family it all started when I lost my niece when she was 11 with a brain tumor. Then my mom, my dad and my sister when she was 46. I keep my eyes out but don't think I will get by without some form of it someday. It is one thing that can change your life overnight
