Emg/Epidural
Hello Forum and to all my friends.(1171,Old Redneck,Jayne,Bronco) I need more imput. I went for a WCF yesturday and got the rusults back from EMG. The Doctor(company DR.) said that I had some membrane instability in the bilateral medical gastro and L5-S1 paraspinal muscles. I also go for ESI Tuesday 8. I asked the Doctor(company DR.) If the ESI don't work what would be next or suggested. He said that he reccommended a Fusion, But I think at this point that only the Ortho sergeon can certify an opperation right? I really don't want to get surgery, but I guess we'll have to see what happens. I also found out that the insurance company offerd me $20,000 for the first settlement. Is this a low number for my injury?

Thanks,

Jamboski Smile

Oh yes the ins would love for you to accept that, before a surgery... Make sure every attempt to fix you has been used, if a needed surgery is in the future that money can be a drop in the bucket.......

RE: Emg/Epidural
most negotiating strategies say start with a low number.
remember it's the medical $$ that count.
if there is a surgical possibility keep in mind the first attempts often fail and you may need a second.

Just wanted to add before surgery talk with a few doctors if you can. It could make you worse. Just please make a very well informed decision before you let them cut.
