Special Administrative Judge

Has been appointed in my case. Don't know how common this is, the judge is in Topeka. The Workers Compensation Director in Kansas has declared my case an emergency and I should have a decision in my case some time this week. Unless the courts are closed due to the blizzard.

Body Builder remember when Judge B went on medical leave?
A special ALJ was sent from Topeka to take over Judge B's cases, mine was one of them.
That is how our attorney explained it. Had a hearing under the special ALJ and that is when I learned my file had been lost and had to be rebuilt.

Your case is of a different nature as yours has been declared an emergency.

When Judge B was on leave Judge C heard my case, got a ruling in less than two weeks. Perhaps Judge C's case load was low enough to take it on. I would imagine that Special Administrative Judges fill in when the appointed WC Judges are on leave.
