SSDI QUESTION
I had my hearing with ssdi in california this week.
I must say I dont know much about ssdi.
I have been out of work since june 2008 due to a work injury.
I did received workers comp benefit until they ended in july 2010.
my question is this, what kind of benefits would I receive from ssdi
and also, would that affect my pending settlement with workers comp?Iam now receiving state disability, and still receiving
460.00 from the carrier even after my 104 weeks of benefits ended in july 2010..thanks for your help....

I think you mean they "May" be offset by comp. Depending on how much you earned.
Here in NY I receive SSDI plus the full amount of WC based on what my earnings were

RE: SSDI QUESTION
Quietdude did also......his cap on WC was so low he was able to collect the full amount of SSDI each month

;)Workmans comp is not a road you want to travel alone. You need a good lawyer,a great family and good friends to lean on.If you make it thru without losing everything you have worked for all your life, you have come out ahead of the game.....Smile

Big Grin
no.
for someone in california they will be.
I did not provide a universal answer that applies to all states.
I responded to high deserts question and his particular situation.
had someone from new york posted I may have responded differently.

I have only been wrong once in my life and that was when someone accused me of being wrong and I believe them.
Tongue
but thanks tpm for allowing the point to be clarified. there are many lurkers that don't realize the differences between states and that no one answer for a particular poster applies to all.
workers comp is state specific.

RE: SSDI QUESTION
I couldn't resist a chance at a little over-the-top-arrogance.
