RE: Prayer please
New to this forum, but my prayers are with you and your family. Also praying for the Dr's and nurses that are treating your stepdaughter.

RE: Prayer please
Well I had a whole bunch typed out and my dog messed it all up so I will try again. The next few days will tell for sure if she will need a transplant. Think they are doing the liver test again in the morning. She is still about the same which I guess is okay since it's not downhill. Home tonight with her 2 boys and one of my other grandson's and they are having a ball with the new xbox we got last week. Dad is taking the boys over the weekend while he is off so will be headed up there until maybe sunday night because I will need to get the kids off to school Monday morning.
Part of her problem is she has a doctor that treats most with more meds when they have any problems and he has her hooked on too many drugs. She is on 2 different strenghts of vicadin and tramadol. He gives her dilatid off and on too. Sorry about spelling. The DEA is looking into his practice. There is more to that I can't go into but trust me we have tried to get her away from him and too a good pain managment doctor. Don't remember if I spoke about it before but she is the one who had 2 surgeries for her tummy and only has a little bit left because he would just give her meds and not fix the problem for a year.
Thanks again for all the prayers. My wife was a mess yesterday but she knows there are so many saying prayers for us that it really does help. I will try to get on here over the weekend and keep everybody up to date as much as I can. God Bless

RE: Prayer please
Manley,

I know I am a bit late in offering my prayers along with the others here. But better late. I am so sorry that your family is having to go through this. As soon as I read your post, I said a short prayer for your daughters life and strength and courage to get your family through. Please keep us posted on her progress. I will continue my prayers for her and your family.

RE: Prayer please
Late is not a problem. I don't seem to be able to get on here as much as I should to help with the extra prayers but I do remember all of you daily. Will be headed up soon, after I can get all the grandkids up and moving this morning. Not much has changed over night. Well her father still has been unable to get here yet from Wisconsin, which tells you how much he worries. His son is going to make it off a sub and drive here from Norfork as fast as he can get here. SAD

RE: Prayer please
Thanks, Just got home from hospital, first time the wife has been home since it started. But will be headed back up after getting cleaned up and changed. Her dad and his mess got there along with her older brother so the wife decided she could give them sometime.
She is slowly getting better on her liver and they talked about maybe starting to try and feed her thru the tube but not yet. She is still not responding to any voices or touch unless it's painful, but she is moving around a good bit like she is very uncomfortable so I think that is good. I do believe all your prayers are helping her slowly get better. It's still to early to say she is going to make it thru this but as I said before I get a better feeling about it everyday. God Bless all of you for the prayers and I will be saying some extra tonight for everybody here. Sorry I've not taken the time to read if any body needs any extra ones.

RE: Prayer please
Manley I will ask for prayer for her tomorrow at church we are a group of mighty prayer warriors....as a family we are praying for your daughter and strength for your family...Hug your wife for me I know the hell she is feeling...I also know the prayers from here work..... this is what Sweet tooth told me to do and it is a wonderful comfort...take a piece of paper and write on it Jayne her family and church are praying for me.Bummer and her family is praying for me, write everyones name on it you know from here that is praying for you put it in your pocket and one in your wifes pocket...touch it often so you feel our love and prayers.....when she gets better give them to her......mine got so worn they stopped making noise....might as well add Sweet and Skeeters name to it...cuz as soon as she reads this she will stop and pray for her....I put that list between my hand and Bills when we prayed before surgery so everyone here was with us.....it is a tremdous comfort...sending love and prayers
