Pain Management
I was wondering if its common for the IW to request appt with pain management. I put in a call today for a appt for my husband. I'm hoping WC approves it. His meds were controling the pain pretty much except for during and after PT which is expected. Since he returned to work Monday they switched them. He shouldn't of been driving on those meds. The one they gave him isn't working at all for what they want him to do. He worked Monday from 830am -3pm then drove the hr, manual car, to PT. By that evening he was in a lot of pain. He went to work yesterday till 1130. Today I drove him and will be picking him up at noon. He is doing better than I thought he would. I have gone to a pain mgmt center off and on for yrs for my back and think it would be a good option for him. Once he is relased by dr I'm sure he will need ongoing pain management as well to some extent. I also feel bad because I'm the one who spoke up and told WC he can't drive on his meds so they changed them. So this week he is back at work and I am on vacation. No...I didn't plan it, but it has been nice.
![]() I'm sorry all I do is ask for advise and don't contribute much else. I am still clueless about WC but trying to learn. (Notice my use of IW and WC...lol) If you want to talk about spoiled husbands, kids or dogs I could contribute. |

RE: Pain Management
all of it is important.....watch your honey very carefully...PM is a very important part of recovery.....
;)Workmans comp is not a road you want to travel alone. You need a good lawyer,a great family and good friends to lean on.If you make it thru without losing everything you have worked for all your life, you have come out ahead of the game.....
