Should I Really Bother w/ WC?
Hello, All...I'm a lurker newly turned member Wink help would be great!

Are cumulative injury WC claims usually denied? Would a NCM call me regardless of my status?

RE: Should I Really Bother w/ WC?
CT claims are probably given more scrutiny.
usually a detailed medical history is needed.
I suspect case managers are used on accepted claims.

RE: Should I Really Bother w/ WC?
In my experience repetitive use injuries are frequently treated by WC as age related degeneration which is not compensable. I personally detest NCM's and wholeheartedly believe that their only purpose is to cut costs for the carrier and send the injured worker back to work as quickly as possible. In PA you are not required to cooperate with a NCM. If you have not advised your lawyer of the NCM, you should do so as soon as possible.

Thanks for both of your answers. I told him, he didn't seem all that concerned and I didn't see her at my appointment.
