Bummer what is Cody wanting this year?...Daniel is wanting a cross bow....he has his gun and bow safety courses done....he is just into target shooting right now....

;)Workmans comp is not a road you want to travel alone. You need a good lawyer,a great family and good friends to lean on.If you make it thru without losing everything you have worked for all your life, you have come out ahead of the game.....Smile

RE: Family Christmas present
I have one last (well maybe 3) gifts to buy and I am totally done. Have to get the gifts wrapped and packed into boxes to go to the post office by next Friday.

Nate's birthday is the 14th of December, and well, he has gotten into airsoft guns and games. So as an early birthday/Christmas present, he has gotten over $600 in airsoft supplies (gun, ammo, glasses, safety vest, batteries) as well as a cammo outfit so that he fits in with the club that he has joined. We will be heading for Jacksboro, TX about 6 AM this Saturday for the Reindeer games that start at 8 AM and last til 7 PM. I get to go and sit while he plays, as he has to have parental supervision on sight as he won't be quite 17 yet.

He also got Driver's ed as part of his gift, which he completed the Tuesday before Thanksgiving. However, he still has to do 20 hours of driving with me (ten at night) as well as 14 hours with the school. They are so booked right now, that his first days aren't until the end of the year. But I think once we complete the 20 hours here, we are going to put in for a hardship license so that he can start driving back and forth to school, and me on my errands.

I still plan on getting him something to put under the tree Christmas morning.

I bought Randy a CD set from Time Life that he has been wanting, as well as a book and a new Longhorn shirt. I am conspiring with his mom now to see if I can store another present in their garage that he would get while we are there. It is a really nice 4 piece computer desk at Sams that has dropped over $300 since I first started looking at it.

As for Randy's mom, coming up with something for her is always a breeze. She loves getting gift cards to Sonic. For those that aren't familiar, Sonic is a fast food place, where carhops bring you your orders. She stops once a day and gets herself a drink. Her gift cards from last Christmas lasted her till August of this year. But I am going a little farther this year and will be cooking Christmas dinner here, then taking it to Randy's folks for supper. I am going to do a veggie tray, ham, mashed potatoes, gravy, green beans and dinner rolls along with a Red Velvet cake for dessert. I didn't know when I first started planning dinner that Red Velvet cake was Randy's grandmothers favorite .. so that just makes it all the more special.

As a gift to one another this year, Randy and I are going to adopt a needy family for Christmas and supply them with food for their Christmas supper and gifts for each person in the family. I have already made a sizeable donation to Salvation Army, have given to Toys for Tots and my donation to Disabled American Veterans and the American Legion go out in the mail tomorrow.

As for what I am getting ?? Who knows. I know that Nate wants to go to Kohl's as he saw something there he thought that I would like. And with Randy, he usually tells me to buy what I want/need .. within a certain limit, on his credit card. I am trying to get him to actually go out shopping with Nate .. Nate knows several things that I want.. and this way, it would make it easier on Nate to shop for me and not try to hide it when he comes out to the car. We shall see.
