RE: injured nurse getting canned by hospital and life ruined in wc need quick advice
dont give up we have several nurses on here you all seem to get hurt on a regular basis.... hang loose

;)Workmans comp is not a road you want to travel alone.You need a good lawyer,a great family and good friends to lean on.If you make it thru without losing everything you have worked for all your life,you have come out ahead of the game.....Smile

Thanks again 1171, you are so smart and actually with your posts today gave me some hope. I do have one more question, for now, IF I would be able to get my primary doc release me back to work with no restrictions perhaps, would I still have to see the AME scheduled for the middle of december? Big IF.

you only have to see the AME if you want to.
it's your claim, not your attys.
if you chose not to, you will likely lose your atty.
the 2 of you should discuss it.
you need hard information from your employer, your union, your atty, in order to make realistic choices.
it's difficult to take charge of your case but the consequences fall on you more then on them.
focus on getting information and then you make the choice;
don't let others make choices for you.
start slowly -- one step at a time. break the big decisions into smaller steps.

many claims resolve with little or no impairment but the legal system only pays attys if there is permanent disability that way.
that makes it so difficult to litigate a claim and have a very successful recovery.
the legal system is crazy.
