SSDI info?
We are gathering all of our info together to start our application for SSDI. I have a question as I know that you can only collect up to 80% of your pre-injury wages, but my question is do they calculate it based on the amount of your workers comp you were awarded or the amount that you actually get after the lawyer takes his 20%?

I hope I am making sense and any help would be great, thanks!

RE: SSDI info?
My attorney does not collect any of my wc ttd weekly payments. But I would think SSDI does not really care about what you pay a wc attorney. there fore i would believe that the offset would be on what wc actually pays. and could care less how it is distributed. Just my thought.

RE: SSDI info?
not so....I can flip a burger.....just can stand or bend...and I got my SSDI on the first try....so dont let that BS stop you...I dont have an answer to the first question but when you find out let us know

;)Workmans comp is not a road you want to travel alone. You need a good lawyer,a great family and good friends to lean on.If you make it thru without losing everything you have worked for all your life, you have come out ahead of the game.....Smile
