RE: ulnar nerve damage and surgery
@ BadBoy ,I was the 1 to address those issue,s before I had surgery.I looked at every possible angle to avoid this, But after 3 Surgeon,s told me the same thing,,,, I knew it was un-avoidable.
6 weeks (so far since surgery) my elbow area is still swollen.
It,s a very time consuming injury to heal, I still can,t pick up anything over a half pound in weight.

RE: ulnar nerve damage and surgery
Hi Dallas, I had two ulnar nerve transpositions 11 months apart. First was anterior above muscle, second was intramuscular. Both recoveries went smoothly. Mine was on my nondominant arm. I just wanted to let you know when you apply the moist heat be very careful as your arm may be numb and you won't feel the heat intensity. I am a nurse, but thought if I applied moist heat wrap and then heating pad to keep the wrap warm I wouldn't have to keep getting up to warm up the wrap (BIG MISTAKE) I had second degree burns all along the ulnar side of my left arm. I only had the heating pad on for 10 minutes. DAH Just wanted you to be careful until all feeling is normal. Other than that the other posts seem to have answered your question. I wish you the best for a speedy uneventful recovery.
