RE: Husband almost killed
ammowoman Wrote:The rehab gave them the list of things before he was even released. We probably should of waited till everything was delivered before he came home but he just wanted to come home. I will call the main case worker tomorrow and let her know this main item has not been received. I've used my mean voice a few times and it worked. When she called, she called my husbands cell. He was sleeping so I answered. I think she avoids me now as much as possible. His next appt isn't with the pelvic dr for 4 weeks so we shouldnt have to deal with her for a month after Friday's appt.

My husband tries to do everything himself. He definately was looking forward to coming home and showering with privacy. The rehab wasn't a good experience for him. The nurses acted put out if he asked for anything. He's just done for himself...as much as possible. I have done a lot to the home so he is able to function. Before I leave for work I set everything out for him. Clothes, food, Meds, coffee and such. I joke and let him know that he owes us a cruise and I will be the princess then.

The lawyer is another thing. People tell him to get one. He heard that if you wait till after wc makes the settlement offer the attorneys fees are taken out of anything over that he may receive. Neither of us are familiar with lawyers or courts and have no experience with workmans comp ever.

Here in wi they are allowed 20% and some misc fees from settlement... I hired 1 about 2 months after I was moving around and they have yet claimed a dime from me... My wife was proactive from the get go and she got my first ttd check first week in hospital. We have done all the leg work so far and with the help of all these great folks here and some advice from lawyer, things have gone smoothly...
