Husband almost killed

He was replacing windows in commercial office building. Fork truck was on ground unloading on 4th floor. As backing away forks hit pallet of 4 windows and fell over on him. About 2,000 lbs I think.

He's done well. Broken ribs are his main source of pain most of the time. You can't wait till they heal. He has to do the transfers and show he's capable to come home. He should be released Friday as long as wheelchair ramp is completed on the house by then.

If you don't mind me asking, how has your recovery progressed? The ankle surgeon already let him know arthritis is a given in his ankle. Haven't seen the pelvic surgeon since surgery to ask what to expect. I know he won't be able to do construction when he's recovered. I just wonder if it will bother him to sit or stand. If so not too many options for him. Should he file for disability? I know Drs have said 6 months of healing and physical therapy at least.
