Anterior cervical discectomy fusion C5-6

I don't do well with injections as they don't last more than a couple of weeks. I had 3 of the lumbar spine this summer with extra meds per injections.

The 3rd injection I was referred to a neurosurgeon for the lumbar, never did anything with that.

Bummer, didn't thoroughly read all the replies but I had ACDF C5-7 almost exactly two years ago. The surgeon was goinig to use hip bone but I had so much extra cartlidge in my spine that he used that instead.

I had a very good result, except for permanent nerve damage due to surgery delays. I wouldn't have another (2nd neck surgery) but I'd do the first one again in a heartbeat. It has really helped.

I was made MMI in 9 months and returned to work a happy camper.

I have many problems, but my neck is the least of them now.
