90 days are up!
Tomorrow will mark 90 days since I met with the Work Comp judge, my attorney and my employers attorney. It was agreed that work comp would start paying me checks, and I have recieved those. Also there was a back pay amount (around 5 months worth) that I was expecting. I think in Hawaii the employer has 90 days to appeal/pay? How much longer could I expect to wait for my back pay? What should I expect to happen now?

Thanks for all replies.

RE: 90 days are up!
expect to be disappointed and not have either a check or a copy of the appeal.
expect to have to call your atty when you don't hear anything.
expect to be angry with the system.
expect this won't be the last time things are delayed.

RE: 90 days are up!
Wondering why there would be an appeal to the back pay if they are paying checks now?

i don't know enough about the facts of your case to answer.
there could be many issues that would dispute your early period of disability.

Hey guys,

Well, I expected what you listed and I just got a decision letter stating just how much back pay I will be getting (little over $16,000. It states that the insurance company has 20 to appeal.

Would they appeal since they are already sending me comp checks now?

Now...when can I expect this to be paid to me?

Thanks for any opinions.

RE: 90 days are up!
there could be different issues on retroactive lost time then current lost time so there is no predicting.
