RE: No SDI or WC $$$'s!
If the work cause more pain. You can always go back to the dr. and let him/her know. At that point they may change your restrictions.
There was a point in my claim when I was doing light duty, that the dr changed my restrictions from light duty to no duty. Meaning; off work with benifits. 8-05, Micro laminectomy/disectomy. 10-05 lumbar fusion L5-S1. 2-07 exploritory surgery. 12-07 medical implant, Spinal Cord Stimulator. now receiving SSDI. Jesus died for our sins. Soilders died for our freedom. |

CORRECT And at anytime you start to hurt more, or the position you have to be in causes more pain, you go to the doctor, explain what your doing at work, and the doctor then makes the choice of changing restrictions or work duties. Bad Boy Bad Boy Wrote:BackPain55 Wrote:Well... that kind'a settles that then! I guess I am going to have to go do this "job" and hope that the injury doesn't get worse. Thanks for the clarity of things! Yep. I attempted to go back to work (my choice) after almsot two years off. I asked my doctor to release me, and it was MY choice to go back. They put me at a desk job (i am an ER nurse by trade). I couldn't do it. There is a big difference between being at home adn being at work every day. The pain was unbearable. The doc changed my meds, increased them..but would not take me back off work. I cried and vomited at work each day because of the pain. After two weeks, the doc reduced my hours to half days. That still did not help. I was in more pain then I had been in the two years since my injury. The doctor did eventually take me back off work but it took over three weeks of pain and crying and for me to go back to him, so he could see the pain I was in. I wish I never attempted to go back. It was horrible, but at least I know that I tried. I dont have to look at it now, and wonder "what if". |

I can so relate to what you are saying... I too asked and begged my dr to let me return, I had been off almost 13 months after injured. I could not stand being home wondering the what if's. Beond my drs expatations and my lawyer's I made it 1 1/2 years and now they are saying I'm done. I like you had to try for my own well being.......... |
