light Duty to No Duty
went to my WC doc this am he took one look at my arm and how swollen it is and said-"No more work!" I then let my supervisor know and she's not happy-I'm sittin here worrying about what she thinks when I need to focus on getting better. I hope I dont have any problems getting paid- when on light duty I was getting paid but struggling with my "light duty." I get home and the mailbox is Jammed with Bills, Bills and more Bills! worst case scenario -some bills just wont be gettin paid! Never thought I'd be back I this position in a million years.

RE: light Duty to No Duty
inform your creditors you are on disability.
they are much easier to work with when you are upfront and tell them ahead of time rather then when you get behind. |

RE: light Duty to No Duty
I have a question are you collecting money ? If your doc said no work you should be collecting $$ .

RE: light Duty to No Duty
I was on light duty, reduced hrs, and recieving my full salary because i'm..er a, was management and we get the same thing every 2 weeks and I guess it was easier for them just to leave my pay alone-all non mgt. employee's punch the time clock- now that i'm out I will have to wait till the end of the month to see...we just got paid today.
My atty sent my DR note to opposing counsel, so we'll see. thanks guys. |

RE: light Duty to No Duty
Check your employee's handbook for their workcomp section.
My employer allowed full pay, so when I was working 10 hours a week my employer made up the difference and my paycheck was the same amount as it was prior to the injury. When I was taken off work I was paid 66% by the insurance company and my employer paid the difference so I was paid at 100%. This information was listed in the employee's handbook. |
