Hi recently Ive been dealing with lower back pain for two months due to carrying and lifting heavy boxes at work. Im not that strong, Im 5' 4" and weight about 110. but my boss insists I get the job done.I have to open about four rows of boxes that are about 6 to 7 ft high. I just came back from visiting a massage therapist and right when I laid down he said " what the heck have you been doing !?" and I told him the situation he said I shouldn't be dealing with heavy boxes because it going to get worse and too young to deal with back problems.now I don't know what to do. should I tell my boss I got injure at work ? Im scared of him, hes not the best understanding boss ever.
what should i do ??? |

RE: hurt my back at work (Tx)
If you injured your back at work and require medical attention. Then yes, you need to let the boss know. Does your place of emplyment have workers compensation Coverage?????
8-05, Micro laminectomy/disectomy. 10-05 lumbar fusion L5-S1. 2-07 exploritory surgery. 12-07 medical implant, Spinal Cord Stimulator. now receiving SSDI. Jesus died for our sins. Soilders died for our freedom. |

RE: hurt my back at work (Tx)
That means you don't know.
WC coverage is not required in TEXAS. If the employer does not carry wc coverage and you injure your back. You could be looking at a civil suite and not a WC case. Your question is based on what a message therapist said. You need to keep in mind that a "message therapist" is not a dr.. 8-05, Micro laminectomy/disectomy. 10-05 lumbar fusion L5-S1. 2-07 exploritory surgery. 12-07 medical implant, Spinal Cord Stimulator. now receiving SSDI. RE: hurt my back at work (Tx)
the longer you wait to report the injury the more likely they will suspect it was done someplace else and the more difficult it will be to get benefits.
unless you want to pay for it yourself file a claim http://www.tdi.state.tx.us/wc/employee/w...glish.html |
