RE: How long does approval or denial take?
Have you checked your state web site? It might tell you there. My Dr. (w/c dr.) wanted to do my surgery less than a week after I saw him. They sent it into ins. and they said I would know within 30 days. Seven weeks and no answer with me and drs office calling, I finally called my wc insurance adjusters supervisor. I had surgery four days later.

I don't believe they have a set time Queen. You may want to have Your Attorney contact the Adjuster at w/c handling your case. Sometimes that speeds things up. I wish you Well, and Good Luck!!Wink

Failed Back Surgery, Chronic Pain, Totally Disabled.

Knowledge is Power, Especially in the World of w/c. Learn as Much as You can about Your States w/c Laws, and don't Fight Battles alone, They Use Attorney's, and so Should You!!

it depends on your state; each has it's own rules.

RE: How long does approval or denial take?
If you don't have an attourney, do this...
Keep calling!
Do not leave them alone! KEEP CALLING!
I bugged the hell out of my NCM and Finally she told me to have the Dr Fax the request again, but leave out ONE word. That would change the mind of the peer review Dr. and all would be approved. Within 2 weeks of resubmitting with the wording they wanted to see, it was approved, 1 week later the surgery was done.
