RE: Work Comp Along With Employer Offered Long Term Disability Insurance?
injureredinidaho, so may policies offset the workcomp and ssdi---like i said u need to call ur insurance company to see how they handle w/comp and ssdi--from what u said they will give u the minium of 50.00 plus work comp weekly check--actually what u have to realize is that the 50.00 a week equals to 200.00 a month which is the minimum(sounds good) that most ltd plans cover. Trust me it may not seem like alot--but if u were not on workcomp and needed that insurance the amount would be higher and u would be glad u paid for it--and fyi typically when u off off work u do not have to pay for any future premiums for ur ltd until u return---u are getting a good deal without owing a balance from any overpayments---so may owe for ltd after collecting benefits and relizing after collecting w/comp or ssdi they have to pay back---ur lucky and thank gosh everything is squared away from day one read the above where u would need to repay!!!

cheers!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I know this a little off the subject, but I am very close to being found MMI therefore the TT will stop, I have requested Voc Rehab however I'm not sure that my POR believes that I will be able to gain employment and work day to day with the severity and stage of the disease (RSD/CRPS). I WANT BADLY to at least try to get a job (employer fired me after they took me off work and placed me on TT). I can not live with no income!
