Hurt, not really, you may not of misunderstood, as we know, there is always something about WC and SS we need to learn. There is just so much to it all.

RE: WINK
BadBoy...just my opinion..no research, no sure understanding... however, my husband was told the same thing as you are saying that Wink said he was told. My husband was also told not to try to collect NJ 6 month's disability plan when W/C denied him..or to collect unemployment when he was eventually fired. Again just my opinion...but whatever he was paid would come out of his eventual settlement or TTD if the lawyer could have gotten it installed... if that happened, then the lawyers percentage would have changed... it would have been less... again..I may be off the wall here.. but this is what I thought at the time... he was worried about his take in the whole mess. I am sure their has got to be more than what I just said because the ethics involved here would be a mess on the lawyers part if he made recommendations based on his needs. The end result for Del was that he got less from his settlement than he would have gotten had he collect 6 months of state disability which is 75% of his pay and then 6 months (at that time) of unemployement. He didn't receive any medical care so that was not a factor... it was for him but not in the end result of the dollar amount. We paid for his medical care. Also, the judge told him at settlement and he had to sign it that he could not apply for SSDI for two years following the settlement which also cost us money in lost income. I hope this helps..not sure how much but trying. Red
