A prayer I ask for myself

A prayer I ask for myself
Hi all

I have no right to ask for prayers but I will try.

A decision will be made within the next month that will greatly impact my life, my future, etc.

My work comp doctor changed his mind about seeing me after talking to the adjuster as to whether or not he wanted to see me. At first he wanted to see me after reading the MRI report that I paid for. Now after talking to the adjuster he's decided not to see me. He's decided that I'm not a surgical candidate, therefore since all he does is surgery............ well you understand.

We have no money for another IME, we paid over $700. for that MRI, the report and all prayers lay on that, the report from that MRI and from the doctor who did the MRI.

For you see I can barely walk at times, we just returned from vacation again and it took all of my strength to walk, to pick up my grandkids, to sit in the truck for the traveling. I can barely do stairs, up, down it makes no difference. For distance I use my crutches. I will not just sit in my house feeling sorry for myself. I will not use a electric cart for shopping. But I will ask for prayers for the courts to make the right choice.

But a question follows this, if work comp denies treatment will my regular insurance pay for treatment?
BB

RE: A prayer I ask for myself
if WC says its not work related your IC should pick it up.....as for prayers what makes you thing you have no right to prayers? you are in my prayers daily as is everyone on here..so dont be silly you hear?

;)Workmans comp is not a road you want to travel alone. You need a good lawyer,a great family and good friends to lean on.If you make it thru without losing everything you have worked for all your life, you have come out ahead of the game.....Smile

Yes, on your Insurance, all you need is a letter from the WC IC stating they deny you treatment, and then you send a copy to your Insurance. requesting medical attention. Then you will have to pay back your Insurance in the end, when you get a settlement, or your Insurance may place a lein so they do get repaid. Either way, yes is the answer.

Bodybuilder you know my story 32 months of denials before the replacement was approved, and 36 months from the date of injury before I had surgery.

If not for our attorney I never would have gotten the knee replacement.

Be firm and tell our attorney what you want, he will take it from there.

BB...you have every right to ask for prayers and many are going up just for you. Difficulty walking is very real and can be very frightening... please feel free to always explain your needs and how we can help... Red

Be who you are and say what you feel, because those who mind don’t matter and those who matter don’t mind.

RE: A prayer I ask for myself
BB, Can you get another opinion? I haven't read up on your State's rules and regulations. If this is an accepted claim, it would be better in the long run to get the authorization thru WC. You may have to go before a judge to make the decision. Be sure to have medical evidence with you at that time. I've heard before that whoever has the most evidence usually wins the decision.

I had to get an MRI re-read because I didn't trust the report. I paid for the new report myself, and it was used to get me a 2nd opinion with a neurosurgeon. Long story, and very sad for an IW to be treated this way. 2nd Opinion said I needed surgery.

However, my WC Nurse Case Manager told me that I had to do whatever I needed to take care of myself; whether it be continue to fight WC or go non-industrial. They could fight it out in the end.

I am for 3 years now receiving treatment for a denied claim, thru both my I/C and WC. The CA's stand is, "Well, the claim was denied, but not really "denied" in the true sense of the word. He says I was uncooperative in his investigation, which I was if I look at it from only his side. I knew the law. I have tons of medical evidence on my side; LC's, QME, AME's, PTP's, NCM, etc., etc. So someday, I will be in court!

Hang in there but get treatment! Tongue

Let Go, and Let God......
