Bummer..this is so sad.. luckily in this case, the VAMC will replace it as I well know .. but doesn't a person's homeowners or rental insurance replace as well.. just wondering about this because he said something about elderly having them stolen and how would they replace them. I sure hope so. Red

$3,000.00 my foot, as my cousion had his installed by the VA, it's cost was $5,000.00.

I saw this on the news last night, just horrible. Glad the owner got it back though. The metal scrap yards around here are owned by the same family, they're scum. They'll take anything, don't check loads, imagine driving up with a few hundred pounds of cut copper pipe.

The problem with homeowners insurance is often the deductible. Here in Florida (hurricane alley) a $5,000 deductible is not uncommon.

Wow..admin...that is a large deductible... I guess that is one place where NJ was cheaper than another state... however, NJ rarely had a disaster of sorts. Red
