Just call me 'crispy legs'
Howdy,
Had a GREAT time on our vacation, we did a huge cave, the St. Louis arch and kayaking. Kayaking was to see if we wanted to buy a couple kayaks and it's a definite yes. We did a 5 mile trip in 1 hour and 10 minutes, average people take 4 hours. Glad we didn't take more than 1:10 minutes which is where the 'crispy legs' comes from. Burnt, knees to ankles, top only (thank God). Swelling is finally down, waiting for the peeling to start. Hopefully by this weekend I'll be able to wear shoes and socks. Crispy legs |

Ouch, Been there Done That,One Time At The Beach, I Put Sunblock On My Kids And Forgot About Myself, I would Up with Sun Poisoning, Couldn't Even Walk For A Few Days.Take It Easy

I do not go anywhere without the sunblock and a hat or cap.
I was one of the unlucky one with the Dx of skin cancer in 2009. |

Actually an early diagnosis of skin cancer can be a good thing. It can suddenly stop someone with years of bad sun exposure to take notice and do the right thing. My dad was one of those people, someone who didn't care. Until he had CA removed from his nose, sun screen for him all the time!!!

Tomorrow if my burns aren't better, especially on my left leg I'll be going to the doctor. Not a 2nd degree but looks bad, it is bad and now almost 6 day out. Leathery skin, pain & swelling. New bottle of sun screen for me!!!

My exposure was 3 hrs in the middle of the day for 10 yrs spent on the playground at work.
I would make sure the students had sunscreen on before they went outside but never took the time to put it on me. |

;)Workmans comp is not a road you want to travel alone.You need a good lawyer,a great family and good friends to lean on.If you make it thru without losing everything you have worked for all your life,you have come out ahead of the game.....
