for your thinking pleasure
This was a dream written down by a cousin of Johnny's several years ago, about a year after he was killed in the Ukrane on a snowmobile accident. It was given to Johnny's parents, the family from Tennessee that had that terrible van accident that wiped out 10 from one family. It was said to have been a great comfort to his parents, now in Glory praising the Lamb with Johnny. May it comfort, challenge, and inspire all of us looking for the Great Day of Jesus Christ. Remember this isn't a direct word from the Lord or the Scriptures, and it may even be misquoted in the many retellings, but it's shared with you just to be an inspiration. Enjoy!
I dreamed that I saw Johnny in a great hall: The ceilings were so high I couldn't even see the top, and the walls looked like formations of cut crsytal and that sparkled and glittered with a beautiful light. There were people, millions of them, all standing around in a semi-circle facing the front of the room. There were no shadows anywhere, but it seemed like the light was coming from the front, I never really looked. The light was so bright I could hardly see: it appeared to be the throne of God, I didn't recognize anyone exept for Johnny: He was standing sort of in the center of the semi-circle. Everyone else was singing in a beautiful musical language, but I couldn't understand the words. Then Johnny started singing, and it seemed like everyone else hushed a little and listened. He was looking toward the front of the room, singing with all his heart and soul. His voice sounded like his earthly voice, only somehow fuller and much better, even. Then he looked over at me and stopped singing and said " Claudia! Im so glad to see you! " He came over to me and took me out of the building. We went over this deep, clear river, it was so shimmery and sparkling, and the bed was all kinds of gems so it made the water reflect all their colors- it looked like a flowing rainbow. When we got over the river, we sat down in the grass. The grass was about knee high and soft and green. Everything was reflecting light, there was no darkness anywhere at all. We didn't say anything for a little while, just sat and looked and listened to the singing, Every now and then Johnny would join in. "There is no sun?" I said. He looked at me and smiled again "No" He told me " The lamb is the light, remember?" and he laughed. I started asking him questions " What did it feel like to die? Did it hurt? "No it was glorious" He stopped for a little and said " People tell you it was a accident. Don't believe them. I assure you, it wasn"t." God knows what he's doing. I was curious so I asked " So what was it like when you first came?" It was so marvelous that if I tried to tell you, you wouldn't believe me, You'll just have to wait and find out" He was so happy and radiant, it wasn't a funny laugh, but as though he laughed out of pure joy, like it had to overflow somehow. " Where are the rest?" I asked, I meant his family and mine. "Don't worry," he said, "they'll be coming, Then we'll all be together! "It won't be long" "When?" I said. "How? Will we all come together?" "I'm not allowed to tell you" He told me. "Just stay in God's will. He has a purpose in everything he does" "Johnny" I said, " will we know each other by name and by face when we're all together?" He laughed again and looked at me and grinned and said" Claudia, who do you think I am"? That was his only answer, because it was so obvious that he was Johnny. I had to laugh a little at myself. Finally I said, " There's something that I've always wanted to see. I want to see Jesus scars". " No" he said, they are so glorious if you see them, you can never be mortal again," We sat for a little again, just quiet. He started singing spontaneously, and his voice was so sweet, but I didn't know what he was saying, He was looking toward that great crystal buliding, singing his heart out. We both got up and started walking along the river. It was as though that I knew I had to leave. " Why can't I describe this?" I said " none of our words fit this" " No" he said. " trying to fit the immortal in to the mortal is like trying to fit the ocean into a little jug." "And" I said. " our songs can't even compare to the ones that you were just singing. He laughed again " They sure don't!! And they never will" We kept on walking. " What shall I tell everyone? Shall I tell them anything from you?" " Tell them," he said, " that Jesus is coming back soon and everyone needs to get ready. Don't give up! It's worth it!" He paused for a little, " And tell them not to wish me back." He stopped again for a little while. " Claudia, God wanted me here. But not it is up to you and the rest to tell the world about Jesus. Do you understand what I am saying?" " Yes" I told him "Will you?" "Yes" " Good!" he said, and smiled at me again. He stopped walking and I kept on, like I was leaving. Then about ten feet away from him, I stopped and said " Oh Johnny, I want to stay here forever!" God needs you yet " he said " But your turn is coming! I'm waiting for you all." His face lit up again. " No, not goodbye! I'll be seeing you! " He turned and started walking away from me in the grass toward the crystal room, singing. I watched him until he went inside, and could still hear him singing. Then I woke up. This was passed from Johnnys family to charitys churches everywhere may it bless each of you as it has me ;)Workmans comp is not a road you want to travel alone. You need a good lawyer,a great family and good friends to lean on.If you make it thru without losing everything you have worked for all your life, you have come out ahead of the game.....
