Workers comp and attendance policy

Hello I was recently injured at work and I am on light duty... My company has a no fault attendance point policy... I have a doctor visit Thurs it can only be sceduler during my shift (12hr days.. Can my workers comp appoint ment be counted as a attendance point ??? If so can I be fired for going the the visit??? Thanks

don't know anything about your company's policy.
workers comp has anti-discrimination provisions and you can not be discriminated against or retaliated against for filing a claim.
if your employer doesn't allow time off for illness you should discuss it with your union or the labor commissioner.
