RE: Chicken and Dumplings
I just boil a whole chicken. Then take a can of biscuits (the small plain ones), tear them in half and boil them after removing the chicken. Flip them once, they finish in about 10 minutes. Hate to say it but it's the best dumplings in the world. It's how my mother did it, it's the meal my youngest asked for on his birthday and he's a picky eater.
Take care, BB |

RE: Chicken and Dumplings
its quick and easy that way remember to take out the chicken and debone it... add after the dumplins are done...Small families can take half the chicken and and freeze it for another dish later...I use the white meat for chicken salad and the dark for dumplins....you need a whole chicken to make it taste right..if you try to do it with just white meat it doesnt taste right...however you can make it with just dark meat
;)Workmans comp is not a road you want to travel alone. You need a good lawyer,a great family and good friends to lean on.If you make it thru without losing everything you have worked for all your life, you have come out ahead of the game.....

RE: Chicken and Dumplings
Yoder's is a popular Amish restaurant near my home. Did not realize they had more than 1. It is in a Mennonite community called Pinecraft.
We've got more Yoders and Millers than you can shake a stick at......

Now that's what I call comfort food! My husband makes chicken and dumplings a lot during the winter.
