Moving back to Pa
Hello guys, its been a while since I posted. From California moving back to Philadelphia due to problems with husband. Have been placed at mmi over a year ago but continue to have flare ups. I finished Permanent disability payments. Still being treated by worker comp doc. I have an attorney and thought we would be able to settle by now. However, one part of my case is still in limbo. How will this affect my claim when I move? Planning to move in August or September. I have coverage under my husbands insurance and probably will lose that coverage and don't know the stipulations for using his coverage in another state. I may have to go to the free clinic in Philly. My questions are how do I find a doctor that will accept worker comp? I know that I will have to search the MNP. The free clinic medical is for nonindustrial issues. Thanks for any advice. Sorry to be moving from San Diego it is beautiful here but I have no family here, only husband that does not seem to know how to get over his being single spends more time with his dogs than with me. Sorry that I am venting.

RE: Moving back to Pa
the MNP likely has no docs in philly.
contact the carrier and get them to find you one.
if they can't, you'll be on your own to find one that will accept california fees and do their reporting.
serious injuries are very hard on families and marriages.
you can contact the pennsylvania medical society they might be able to find someone. also talk to your california doctors --they may know someone back in philly or give you some leads. maybe your atty can contact some philadelphia attys who know some docs.

use every available resource.

1171's Advice to You is Great. Before the Move, try and get as Much Lined Up as You can. I'm in Pa. but don't know how the Ca. w/c System is handled, but as 1171 has mentioned Your current Attorney could be Your best Resource. Best of Luck, I Hope You find a Dr. and are able to get the Care You need in Philly.!Wink

I know that I should post this on the off topic area, but know that the original post would not be read. I went to pick up my meds this morning and was told by the pharmacy that my plan through my husbands membership was terminated by him. I use his plan for my personal insurance. I see 3 different specialty doc. I see a rheumatologist who has me on methotraxte a large dose. One med is a high risk med and blood work has to be monitored. It brought me to tears when I found out I have no coverage without any warning. I my yell and shout or sometimes call him a name or two. I know that it is an excuse for behaving badly the both of us. I don't know that I deserve this kind of treatment. We have been having some serious fights over the past few months, name calling and other things that couples argue about. The worst part is I am taking a high risk medication for my Sarcoidosis and I have to have blood work drawn and monitored. I see a psych doc and have appointments coming up. I am also under state disability which will need to be extended by paim management at the end of the month. Please excuse my writing and spelling, this has been a terrible day. Thanks for letting me vent guys. I know that I don't post a lot but I feel as though I have become to see each one of your personalitiesand it makes me wonder what you guys look like. Thanks once again and if anyone have any suggestions I am all eyes,

Theresa

RE: Moving back to Pa
sounds like you are trying to get the right kind of help and look forward and not back.
you may have to become more independent.
that can be very good as you'll be willing to put up with less in the future.
this may help with finding medical

RE: Moving back to Pa
Jimmy, You seem to be Very Intelligent, and I Think You are going to do Fine, and be O.K. with Your Move, I Think it's a Very Wise Choice. You are not Receiving the Emotional Support where You are, and Family is always the Best to be around when Dealing with not Only Your Injury, but Your Life Issues as Well. Contact Your attorney about Your Meds., They May have an Avenue for You to get Them. I know when I first Started My Case w/c Stopped Paying for My Meds., and My Attorney found Me a Source to get Them while We were Litigating My Case. We Won, and The Ins. Co. had to Pay $32k to the Pharmacy in Back Med. Payments, as the Hearings Process in My Case took 2 1/2 Years! You Vent Anytime, and I Hope when You get Home to Philly. Things will Start to Fall into Place for You!Wink
